Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-28

In short: no account, no ads, no tracking cookies, no analytics. Your progress stays on your device. If you buy the full version, your purchase data is handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We sell no data.

1. What we don’t do

2. What stays on your device

To make the app work, this data is saved only in your browser’s local storage, on your device. It is never sent to us:

The site also keeps a copy of its own files (questions, images) in the browser cache so it works offline. You can erase everything at any time: the “Erase my progress” button in “My mistakes”, or clearing the site’s data in your browser.

3. Purchases: handled by the payment provider

Paying for the full version goes through Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects and processes the information needed for the payment (for example your name, email address, country or billing address for tax purposes, and your payment method details), under its own privacy policy, available from the checkout page.

We never receive your payment card details. Stripe only makes available to us what we need to give you access to the full version and to help you: the transaction number, the buyer’s name and email address, the billing country, the product bought, the amount, the date and the status of the payment or refund. The “Restore my purchase” button sends the email you type to our server, which checks it against the purchases recorded at Stripe; it is not stored. We use this information only to activate or restore your access, process a refund and answer your requests, and we keep it as long as our accounting and tax obligations require.

Stripe may process and store this information outside Québec and Canada.

4. Emails you send us

If you write to us (error report, question, refund), we receive your email address and the content of your message. The “Report an error” button prepares an email with the question number; nothing is sent unless you send it. We use these emails only to reply to you and fix the content, and we delete them once they are no longer needed.

5. Hosting

Like any website, our host may process technical logs (for example the IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse. We do not use them to track you or build a profile.

6. External links

Our explanations link to official texts (LégisQuébec, SAAQ, Québec.ca). Those sites have their own privacy policies.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it (subject to our legal obligations), and you can withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

8. Person in charge of protecting personal information

The person in charge of protecting personal information at Permis Prêt is the owner of the business. To reach them: [email protected].

9. Changes

If we ever add an audience-measurement tool or another third-party service, this page will be updated before it goes live. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.

See also the terms of service and the refund policy. If the French and English versions differ, the French version prevails.
